General Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts should focus on the role of environmental public health.
  • Abstracts must be in English.
  • Abstracts should describe original work.
  • An individual may submit more than one abstract.
  • Poster, panel, individual oral presentations, and training/workshops are allowed.
  • The submitter is strongly encouraged to compose the abstract text in a word-processing program before submitting it online. Be sure to check spelling, word count, and conformity to the guidelines given below.
  • Final acceptance is conditional on registration of all presenters.

Abstract Requirements

  • The abstract text must conform to a standard structure, including each of the headings listed below, depending on the form of the abstract (scientific or programmatic). Each heading should be followed by a colon.
    Scientific Abstracts
    • Background/purpose
    • Method of analysis
    • Findings
    • Conclusions
    • Implications for environmental public health
    Programmatic Abstracts
    • Program purpose
    • Assessment of need
    • Strategies
    • Evaluation approach
    • Program outcomes
    • Implications for practitioners
  • The abstract text cannot contain more than 275 words. No images, charts, or tables are allowed.
  • For each presenter, please provide: name, degrees, job title and mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, fax number, education, professional experience, and conflict of interest disclosure.
  • For all other authors, you need only provide name and e-mail address.
