General Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts must be in English.
- Abstracts should describe original work.
- An individual may submit more than one abstract.
- In total, the abstract text must contain no more than 300 words. No images, charts, or tables are allowed.
- For each presenter, please provide: name, degrees, job title, mailing address, email address, phone number, and fax number. These items are not included in the 300 word limit.
For all other authors you are only required to provide name, affiliation, city/state, and email address.
- You are strongly encouraged to compose the abstract text in your own word processor before submitting it online. Be sure to check spelling, word count, and conformance with the guidelines given below.
Abstract Requirements and Formats
Abstracts should be submitted in one of the formats described below.
Authors should identify a topic area for which their abstract may be most appropriate. Topic choices are:
- Adolescent immunization
- Adult immunization
- Childhood immunization
- Communications
- Epidemiology
- HPV vaccine
- Programmatic Issues
- Surveillance
- Vaccine safety
Format I — Scientific or Programmatic Research Findings
This format is most appropriate for the presentation of scientific or programmatic
research findings. The abstract should disclose primary findings and not include statements such as "study in progress" or "results will be discussed."

- Conclusions
Format II — Descriptive Summary
This format is most appropriate for description of programs or other immunization activities, including descriptions of community-based programs, policy or advocacy efforts,and models for program dissemination and evaluation.

The abstract text must conform to a structured format, including each of the headings listed above (enter n/a for any sections which are not applicable).
