Biographical Sketch:
David Austin has worked in the area of Public Health Data Quality and Web Query systems for the past 7 years. As part of the Georgia Division of Public Health's Office of Health Indicators for Planning, he works on supporting the Online Analysis and Statistical Information System(OASIS) Suite of Web Query and Mapping tools which allows public access to Georgia Birth, Death, Hospital Discharge, ER Visit, Population and most recently, Motor Vehicle Crash data. Most recently he has worked on the team that developed the OASIS Motor Vehicle Crash Web Query and Mapping system. As Director of the Data Quality and Analysis team, he also develops Data Quality Protocols for Hospital Discharge and ER Visit data. He is also working on a metadata management system that maintains the vocabularies of all data sources used by OASIS. He will be presenting the OASIS Crash web query system at the Association of Transportation Safety Professionals 2011 Traffic Records Forum in July.
