Biographical Sketch:
Doug Hamaker is the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS) Project Manager for the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). He has worked for over 27 years in public health, including his service as an STD Program Disease Investigator at the Victoria City/County Health Department and as the HIV/STD surveillance coordinator at the DSHS Central Office. Throughout his career, he has been involved with the development and implementation of statewide surveillance systems. He received the Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Texas A&M University in 1983.
