D2: D2 - Models for Reaching Out: Developing Culturally Competent Hepatitis Prevention Programs

This workshop will highlight program models that have proven successful in providing culturally competent viral hepatitis services to communities of color. Specific programs designed for Hispanic/Latinos, African Americans, and Asian Pacific Islanders will be presented and discussed.
Learning Objectives: C. Identify specific intervention strategies that address the viral hepatitis prevention needs of individuals in groups with health disparities including, but not limited to, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, American Indians/Alaska Natives, and African-Americans. E. Identify and access communication, education, and training needs and available resources for viral hepatitis prevention and control; evaluate the effectiveness of education and training methods.
