I6: I6 - Hepatitis C Integration into Substance Abuse Treatment: Projects Supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

This workshop will showcase projects in Massachusetts, New York, and Los Angeles funded by SAMHSA to incorporate hepatitis C training and education into substance abuse treatment programs.
Learning Objectives: A. Outline strategies for hepatitis prevention for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. B. Identify specific intervention strategies that address the needs of individuals in high-risk groups including, but not limited to, infants born to HBsAg-positive mothers, clients engaged in injection drug use (IDU)/substance abuse, clients in STD/HIV clinics, men who have sex with men, homeless populations, and inmates in correctional settings.
