Primarily teaches core graduate courses in family, evidence-based practice, theory, nursing education, and undergraduate courses in nursing research, family, and community health.
She has authored a textbook entitled "Family Health: A Framework for Nursing," a conceptual framework for considering health and illness through a ecological lens.
Dr. Denham has given many regional, national, and international presentations and has numerous refereed publications on topics linked with Appalachian health issues and other nursing topics.
Has had national leadership roles in the Appalachian studies Association, the National Council on Family Relations, and has served on the Board of Directors or the National League for Nursing’s Accreditation Commission.
