Biographical Sketch:
04/04 – Present DIRC Systems Manager, Evaluation Lead, California Diabetes Program
Interpreted results of the 2004 assessment of California’s diabetes public health system to lay the groundwork for developing the Diabetes Information Resource Center (DIRC).Led development and launch of DIRC within eleven months utilizing my business, research, and project management expertise.
Oversee or provide guidance on evaluation activities related to projects including survey design, data collection and analysis, and report writing.
Facilitate planning process of California Department of Public Health grass roots organization called the Chronic Disease Integration Work Group (CDIWG). This group’s purpose is to figure out ways to improve communication, collaboration, and outcomes by capitalizing on natural integration opportunities. Coordinated the collection and organization of information from all programs, facilitated brainstorming sessions, and dealt professionally with turf and political issues.
