1998 to 2000 - Nutrition Consultant, Outpatient Clinic, VCU Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia. Area of expertise bariatric surgery, diabetes, and weight loss.
2000 to 2003 - Clinical Dietitian, North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond, Louisiana
2002 to 2003 - Nutrition Specialist, Virginia Department of Health, Richmond, Virginia. Responsible for the state of Virginia's Folic Acid Initiative.
2003 to 2004 - Nutrition Consultant, HMC/WellPoint, Richmond Virginia. Provide telephonic nutrition counseling to participants with diabetes, CAD, CHF, COPD.
2004 to present - Business Change Manager, Richmond, Virginia. Responsible for the planning and execution of projects with the Clinical Programs Department. Project manager for the Equities Pilot, which is designed to address inequities among our African American and Hispanic members with diabetes. Professional experience includes serving as a health coach which drew upon my extensive training in facilitating behavior change for healthier lifestyles.
