2009 - present -- Administrator of Community Services-Diabetes Prevention and Control Program, PA Department of Health, Harrisburg, PA 2005-2009 -- State Steps School Health Coordinator, PA Department of Health, Harrisburg, PA 2000-2005 -- Aging and Mental Health/Mental Retardation Coordinator, PA Department of Aging, Harrisburg, PA 1994-2000 -- Director, Special Kids Network, PA Department of Health, Harrisburg, PA 1992-1994 -- Director of Special Projects, WITF, Inc., Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 1983-1991 -- Director, Child Life Department, Cook-Ft. Worth Children’s Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas Responsible for community services of the Diabetes Prevention and Control Program including grants supporting the Dining with Diabetes Program; PAcAARDs Program, a tobacco and diabetes referral program; and, juvenile diabetes research (2009-present). Responsible for the school health component of the Steps Cooperative Agreement which focused on reducing burden of diabetes, obesity and asthma in the school-aged population (2005-2009). Coordinated the successful implementation of Pennsylvania's Steps Youth Survey and Youth Risk Behavior Survey (2007-2009). Managed all aspects of the Special Kids Network, a statewide information, referral, and community systems development program for children with chronic diseases and conditions (1994-2000). Coordinated the development of a presentation package used by the Special Kids Network staff for statewide promotion. Co-directed Camp Aurora, a day camp that provided diabetes educational information and opportunities for physical activity for children with diabetes (1987-1991). Established a hospital-based public school program for children chronic diseases and conditions who were hospitalized for prolonged period of time. Numerous presentations at professional organization conferences and partnering organizations.
