Biographical Sketch:
2000-2003 -- Research Assistant, Department of Genetics and Neuroscience Program, Michigan State University in East Lansing Michigan. Responsible for conducting experiments age-related functional decline using a genetic model organism, Drosophila melanogaster. 2005-2008 -- Research Epidemiologist, Kansas Trauma Program, Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Topeka, KS. Responsible for administration of the Kansas Trauma Registry and for epidemiology support for the Kansas Trauma Program. 2008-current -- Epidemiologist, Kansas Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and Kansas Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program, Bureau of Health Promotion, Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Topeka, KS. Responsible for the epidemiology- and evaluation-related needs and activites of each program, including analysis of surveillance databases, providing technical assistance on epidemiologic topics to program staff and stakeholders and evaluation planning.
