Set nationwide state advocacy goals and managed national field advocacy staff of seven Advocacy Directors and over thirty contract lobbyist to achieve those goals. Oversaw the development of $1 Million budget, and expenditures within that budget for achieving the state advocacy goals. Development of a national resource center to ensure the use of consistent material and messages in state-based advocacy campaigns. Monitor Regulatory changes in all 50 States regarding health insurance coverage, reimbursement and Medicaid programs. Support federal lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill with individual or groups of members of Congress. Establish and maintain close working relationships with members of state legislatures, staff, relevant agency personnel and Governor’s office. Lead state efforts to introduce and pass legislation. Build relationships with state offices of members of Congress. Established and implemented process to improve communications between national and regional staff.
