2006 - 2008 -- Pediatric Nurse Consultant, Medicaid and Long Term Care, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Lincoln, NE.

Experience nursing in different settings including hospitals, home health agencies, federally-qualified health centers, and state government.
Responsible for coordinating the Nebraska Registry Project, a web-based patient registry for Certified Rural Health Centers to improve care for those with diabetes or cardiovascular disease.
Coordinate Quality Improvement activities within and across state agencies. Provide professional education to nurses across the state on diabetes management and standards of care.
Educate people on how to self-manage their chronic diseases. Master Trainer for the Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management Education curriculum.
