Biographical Sketch:
Areas of expertise include:
Diabetes self-management education: a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator.
Disease self-management: a master trainer and t-trainer in both the Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management Program and the Stanford Diabetes Self-Management Program.
Publications in professional literature: in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association
Publications in peer literature: served as the Nutrition Editor for EatingWell Magazine 2001 - 2004.
Health partnership experience: Have been leading multi-disciplinary professional groups involved in various collaborations for more than 30 years. Have been chairing the Diabetes and Oral Health Program as a collaborative project with the Vermont Department of Health (VDH) Diabetes Prevention and Control Program, Vermont Department of Health Oral Health Program, Vermont State Dental Society, Vermont Association of Diabetes Educators, Vermont Dental Hygienists' Association and the Vermont Dental Assistants Association since the program originated in 2008.
