Biographical Sketch:
Professional responsibilities in the Utah Diabetes Prevention and Control Program included managing a continuing diabetes education program called the Utah Diabetes Telehealth Series for healthcare professionals; administering a state certification program for diabetes education programs; overseeing contracts with community-based organizations for the improvement of diabetes outcomes; development of diabetes trainings in English and Spanish; and leadership for partnerships with tribal and Hispanic organizations. Currently, I manage the Utah Arthritis Program including the supervision of staff, budget management, and the direction of program operations.
