Biographical Sketch:
August 2009 - present CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow Ohio Department of Health -Involved in data quality assurance and data analysis for BMI surveillance in Ohio's elementary schools -Evaluation and monitoring for the state’s obesity prevention plan 2005-2009 During graduate school at Emory University participated as a graduate research assistant in the following programs: -Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Diabetes Translation -Emory University, School of Medicine, Department of Surgery -Emory University, Department of Epidemiology, Women’s and Children’s Center 2003-2005 Diabetes Nutrition Educator Central Ohio Diabetes Association 2003-2005 Research Dietitian The Ohio State University 2001 Graduate Research Intern National Cancer Institute, 5 A Day for Better Health Program Author or coauthor of over a dozen publications and book chapters primarily relating to diabetes, obesity, and nutrition.
