Biographical Sketch:
Project Manager, Diabetes Prevention & Control Program - Management of diabetes grant all long-term objectives, process objectives and program activities of the diabetes grant. Implement goals and coordinate activities and projects of the Diabetes Prevention & Control Program such as the Diabetes Advisory Council and Annual Diabetes Awareness month.
Graduate Nurse Intern (LPN) - Hemodialysis Unit (2000-2001), Juan F. Luis Hospital, St. Croix, V.I. - Responsible for monitoring and evaluating dialysis patients admitted following standard body substance isolation precaution and infection control procedures to ensure patients safety and maintain quality of life.
Expertise in diabetes risk assesment in Afro-Caribbean populations including eight years experience as coordinator of screening and other diabetes related outreach activities for the US Virgin Islands Department of Health, St. Croix. US Virgin Islands.
