2005-2009 State Epidemiologist- Virgin Islands Department of Health, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands

Director (1995-2005) of University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA Minority International Research Training Program in Africa (Zimbabwe) and Caribbean (Barbados, Dominica) focusing on studies of etiology of diabetes in people of African decent.
1991-1994- Fellow, World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Diabetes, Registries and Training, University of Pittsburgh while working as an investigator on the "WHO Multinational Project on Childhood Diabetes" and the "Diabetes Epidemiology Research International" study.
Principal Investigator for NIH funded "Virgin Islands Diabetes Study (1995-2000)" and Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF) funded "Caribbean African Heritage IDDM Study (1994-1997).
Author of 45 publications including book chapters, focusing on diabetes and cardio-metabolic risk factors in Caribbean, African and US blacks, including author of the chapter on Diabetes in Black Americans in the 1995 publication Diabetes in America, National Center for Health Statistics.
Numerous abstracts and presentation at scientific meetings.
