Dr. Bryan Alsip is a physician with 8 years of public health program Directorship experience in the US Army. As the Assistant Director of Health and Alternate Health Authority for the City of San Antonio and Bexar County his supervision includes the following Departmental services: Clinical Services; Immunization/VFC; Communicable Disease Control – TB/HIV/STD; Dental Health; Population-Based Services – Healthy Start, Tobacco Prevention & Control, School Health, Steps to a Healthier San Antonio, WIC; Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention; Family Health; Epidemiology and Data Assessment. He is board certified in Preventive Medicine and has extensive experience directing medical doctor training programs for the US Army Medical Services Corps. His public health research interests include evidenced-based strategies to reduce preventable morbidity and mortality among individuals with chronic disease. Dr. Alsip also has experience conducting occupational studies related to heat and stress injury among otherwise healthy military personnel.
