Biographical Sketch:
Microbiology Teacher’s Assistant, Dr. Rodriguez, BYU Give weekly reviews. Work with students one on one to help them better understand the material and be prepared for the exams. Have taught two class lectures. June 2008-present. Research assistant, Dr. Thackeray, BYU Worked with professor to support and submit a research proposal. Searched online journal databases for supportive material concerning body image satisfaction and how it is affected by peers and the media. Analyzed sources to determine legitimacy and benefit for the research. April 2009-June 2009. Volunteer at Mountainlands Community Health Center Assisted a diabetes education specialist in Provo with compiling an instructive packet for patients newly diagnosed with type II diabetes. An emphasis was placed on the benefits of implementing cardiovascular and strength training exercise into daily life. Prepared and gave two seminars at the clinic on exercise to heart disease and Type II diabetes patients. October 2008-May 2009. Group Facilitator for study abroad office at Brigham Young University Promoted and advertised the Madrid, Spain study abroad program in the fall and winter semesters of 2008 and 2009. Aided professor in conducting the preparatory class for the group of students going to Madrid during the fall semester of 2008.
