Biographical Sketch:
Began professional career as a clinical dietitian at the Valley View Regional Hospital, Ada, OK from 2000-2006. During tenure with hospital served as a educator for persons with diabetes and met routinely with all persons ordered a special diet for teaching and counseling. Also served as manager of the dietary program.
From 2006 through present serves as a dietitian-Diabetes Educator with the Chickasaw Nation Comprehensive Diabetes Center. In the role of Dietitian Diabetes Educator works within a multi-discplinary team seeing persons with diabetes on a one to one basis, establishes personal diet planning for each newly diagnosed person with diabetes, counsels and monitors patients as established by personal plan, conducts monthly dietary classes with culturally appropriate food demonstrations, serves as the liaison with Women's Clinic for women with Gestational Diabetes or diabetes prior to pregnancy.
