In this role, established diet plans for persons on special diets, counseled patients on dietary management, taught self-management classes on nutrition and meal planning for persons with diabetes and served as the manager of the dietary program.
2006 - present Dietitian Diabetes Educator. Chickasaw Nation, Ada, Oklahoma
In this role,serves as a member of multidiscplinary professionals who diagnosis, treat. manage, and monitor persons with diabetes. She establishes individualized diet plans for all newly diagnosed persons with diabetes and regularly monitors progress. She is a certified breast feeding consultant and counsels with women with gestational diabetes as to the benefits of breast feeding.
