Biographical Sketch:
John Charles Huber Jr., PhD is Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health. Dr. Huber has extensive experience in the design and analysis of studies of Type 2 diabetes in Mexican-Americans in South Texas and continues to collaborate on projects with the Starr County Health Studies group headed by Dr. Craig Hanis at the University of Texas School of Public Health. Dr. Huber is currently the Principal Investigator of a study which seeks to improve the power and sample size calculations for longitudinal study designs. Dr. Huber is also the lead statistician on a NCMHD-NIH RCT study examining the implementation of diabetes self-management technologies in rural and under-served minority populations, which is the subject of this presentation.
