Biographical Sketch:
2003 – Present -- GIS Specialist, University of New Mexico, Earth Data Analysis Center
1994 - 2002 -- Student GIS Tech, University of New Mexico, Earth Data Analysis Center
Responsible for development of a statewide GIS for the New Mexico Public Schools Facilities Authority to facilitate analysis of student migration patterns and identify locations for new school construction (2009-present).
Worked with the New Mexico State Forestry Division to develop a fire risk model for the state of New Mexico and develop a methodology for modeling local fire risk(2005-2007).
Worked with NM Department of Health and community stakeholders to develop presentations showing risk factors in local communities. This involved geocoding police arrest data, and adding alcohol crash data, socioeconomic data from US Census, and data provided by community groups in order to perform spatial analysis to identify community problems and areas of concern(2004-2005).
