BACKGROUND:
Statewide immunization registries have faltered in many locations because of technical or programmatic issues. While each state is unique, significant common issues are universal. These include legislation, the role and function of the coalition, managed care involvment, private sector involvment and support, partnerships with key organizations and other strategies.
