BACKGROUND:
In 2002, the American Immunization registry Association (AIRA), National Immunization Program, and the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM) partnered to develop Standards of Excellence by which a registry could better support other core components of an immunization program. After publishing the Standards of Excellence, and receiving endorsement from the National Vaccine Advisory Committee, the PROW (Programmatic Registry Operations Work Group) Implementation Team recruited several immunization programs to review and prioritize the Standards for implementation within their program. This session highlights the results of their work, and the benefits to both their programs and to future users of the Standards.

OBJECTIVE:

METHOD:
