D6: Improving the Health of Adolescents: Vaccination and beyond

This workshop will address vaccines recommended for all adolescents, and will include discussion of attempts to integrate components of the Guidelines for Adolescent Preventive Services (GAPS) into routine adolescent health care at the time of the adolescent health visit. Looking beyond the usual clinical settings, we will discuss community based inventions that have been effective at increasing hepatitis B coverage.
Learning Objectives: Describe three interventions that are effective in improving adolescent immunization coverage, and list one limitation of implementing each of these at the community level.
