E11: Improving the Immunization of Seniors in Long Term Care Facilities: The Standing Orders Project (SOP) - Part 2

This workshop will be one of 2 workshops to discuss the intervention of implementing standing orders in long term care facilities (LTCs) to improve vaccination coverage of seniors for influenza and pneumococcal. The workshop will present useful tools and information on how to work together with LTCs to implement successful immunization programs. Practical information will be presented on the experience of two Peer Review Organizations (PROs) that have been involved in the CMS-CDC standing orders project.
Learning Objectives: With the aim to improve the immunization of seniors, the participant should be able to understand the components of building a collaborative relationship with long term care facilities in their state.
