B8: Strategies for Developing Effective Immunization Materials and Website: Lessons learned from the 2001-2002 Influenza Campaign

Participants will learn how to work with creative teams to produce effective materials. They will learn when to include creative teams in the planning process, the information these teams need to do their jobs, and why this is necessary. The “creative brief” will be explained and participants will learn how to use this tool to meet clearly defined objectives. Website and print materials from the 2001-02 influenza campaign will be used to illustrate how each of the strategies covered can be put into practice to create effective print and Internet materials.
Learning Objectives: The participants will be able to work with creative and web-development teams and to give them the information they need to develop effective material.
