B17: Lessons from the Field: Tailoring Immunization Strategies to Urban and Minority Communities |
The workshop will provide experiences from three projects describing strategies for assessing and implementing programs in urban minority communities. This workshop is intended for local and state projects concerned about minority populations with low immunization coverage rates. Participants should come prepared to discuss issues and strategies specific to their own community. Participants will receive tools and program models that can be adapted or tailored to their communities. |
Learning Objectives: Participants will learn how to: 1) assess areas with low coverage using a variety of social and health indicators; 2) Customize and adapt evidence-based immunization strategies targeting areas of need; 3) Monitor and evaluate targeted activities and progress toward goals.
