D5: CDC Influenza Vaccine Campaigns: Strategies for Print and Web Development

The success of a communication campaign rests on the quality of information given to the creative staff. In this workshop participants will be shown which information is crucial to the success of a project and how to best utilize the talents of the creative team. They will also see how the creative staff utilizes this information to develop effective print and Internet communication materials. The CDC influenza materials will be used as a platform to show how these principles have been put into action.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to understand what a creative brief is and how to write one, work with creative staff to get optimal results from the creative materials, structure a webpage to effectively communicate the key messages, and establish the most effective print media to communicate the key message to the target audience.
