Presenters in this session will dsicuss vaccine safety communication between health care providers and parents.
Learning Objectives: 1) Replicate the Risk Communication Skills for Vaccine Safety training program for immunization providers and advocates. 2) Determine how parent/caregiver-provider communication influences parent’s knowledge of and perceptions about minor adverse events. 3) Understand key messages and useful strategies for communicating with parents concerned about immunization and the preferred sources and types of information for this group.
