Recent information on the effectiveness of CDC guidelines for managing the pneumoccal vaccine shortage will be presented along with the evidence that persons with cochlear implants are at increased risk of pneumococcal meningitis.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to describe the impact of CDC recommendations on the way health care providers conserved their supplies of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine during the shortage.
