Katie Reed, Partners In Health Systems, PO Box 249, 5789 Widewaters Parkway, Dewitt, NY, USA and Cynthia O'Connor, Immunization Action Plan, Onondaga County Health Department, 501 East Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY, USA.

BACKGROUND:
The Central New York Immunization Registry (CNYIR) is a 14 county regional registry administered by the Health Department in Syracuse New York. A primary objective of the CNYIR is to establish the use of Registry data within public health programs and to specifically encourage timely immunizations and the use of a medical home. CNYIR, like many Registries across the country, has struggled to convince medical practitioners it provides the fundamental tools needed to keep children age-appropriately immunized. The CNYIR also knows the challenges in recruiting providers and enrolling children in numbers sufficient to reach high saturation levels. Despite these difficulties, the CNYIR has developed several successful collaborations leading to enhanced Registry utilization and in turn advancing Registry growth and saturation

OBJECTIVE:
Explore partnerships and applications for Registry data that encourage Registry utilization. The workshop presenter will share the process used to develop public health collaborations as well as the programmatic outcomes for each.

METHOD:
Analyze data needs for public health programs. Explore potential for Registry to provide needed data. Evaluate feasibility with existing resources. Develop action plans to utilize Registry data.

RESULT:
Partnerships have been developed between the CNYIR and the Lead Poisoning Prevention and WIC Programs, a Pediatric Emergency Room and Healthy Start. Each relationship presents unique challenges, yet each provides an opportunity for the Registry to facilitate the identification of children who are immunization-delayed or in some instances in need of other public health interventions.

CONCLUSION:
It is important to develop partnerships with colleagues in the immunization delivery world. It is up to Registries to pursue these relationships and demonstrate its value.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
To share specific Registry applications that facilitate and enhance public health interventions and lead to further growth of a Registry.
