A7: Core Elements of AFIX Two: What’s New?

The First edition of the Core Elements for AFIX Training and Implementation were made of available in 2002. This document serves as guidelines for grantees and individuals who are implementing the AFIX quality improvement strategy at a provider level. The 2nd edition of the Core Elements will be made available in the spring of 2004. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss why the Core Elements were developed and introduce the participants to the new updated guidelines that include information on implementing AFIX on adult populations, HIPAA and when to incorporate registry data into office based assessments.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the workshop participants should be able to identify the purpose of the Core Elements.
