D10: Pertussis 2: Special Issues Related to Control of Outbreaks

In this session we will seek answers to questions about who and when to obtain laboratory tests to confirm the diagnosis during pertussis outbreaks, and discover the range of clinical severity among cases in relation to vaccination with DTaP.
Learning Objectives: After attending this workshop, participants should be able to identify the circumstances when laboratory testing for pertussis is useful during an outbreak.
