E2: Influenza Vaccine Effectiveness Studies
During the 2003-04 influenza season, the circulating influenza A/H3N2 strain was an antigenic variant of the vaccine A/H3N2 strain, raising questions about the protection provided by this year’s vaccine. This workshop presents several evaluations of influenza vaccine effectiveness.
Learning Objectives: After attending this workshop, participants should be able to describe and discuss several methodological issues in the evaluation of influenza vaccine effectiveness.
