Preventing Rotavirus Gastroenteritis through Vaccination: Progress and Potential for 2008

Presenters in this workshop will discuss use of the rotavirus vaccine currently available in the U.S (RotaTeq®), physicians’ adoption and perceptions about the vaccine, and adherence to age recommendations. The system for post-licensure monitoring of intussusception will be discussed. Information about the rotavirus vaccine currently under review for licensure in the U.S (Rotarix®) will also be presented.
