Biographical Sketch:
Research Health Scientist, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Viral Hepatitis, 2008-present. Health Scientist, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, 2003-2008. Responsible for prevention research and evaluation activities related to Hepatitis. Project Officer for the Program Evaluation to Improve Hepatitis C Virus Screening Practices and Testing Uptake in Select Primary Care Settings. Provide technical and budgetary leadership and project coordination for principal investigators, coordinators, and study sites. Project Officer for the Southeast Kaiser Permanente study Improving Hepatitis C Virus Screening Practices in the Managed Care Setting. Provide technical and budgetary leadership and project coordination. Principal Investigator for the laboratory evaluation of rapid diagnostic medical tests for Hepatitis C. Coordinate the publication of a Federal Register Notice to solicit private pharmaceutical collaborators, conduct the review of the responses to the Notice, and coordinate the laboratory evaluation. Lead for the field evaluations of rapid diagnostic medical tests for Hepatitis C. Coordinate external and internal partners to assess the effectiveness of candidate rapid Hepatitis C tests in five National HIV Behavioral Surveillance Study field settings and the University of California at San Diego Study to Assess Hepatitis C Risk (STAHR).
