Responsible for conducting research related to retinal degenerative disease, including retinitis pigmentosa and diabetic retinopathy. Also worked to create a murine model for the analysis of the retinal mechnisms underlying the development of refractive errors (2004-2009).
Responsible for coordinating activities associated with vaccine preventable disease surveillance, including special projects for enhanced pertussis surveillance, as well as a research project aimed at validating laboratory tests for the diagnosis of pertussis.
