Biographical Sketch:
Experience 12/2009-present --Vaccine-Preventable Disease Epidemiologist, Georgia Department of Community Health, Division of Public Health Provide support to District Epidemiologist and health care providers in the area of vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, prevention and control Participate and provide epidemiologic support to any formal program evaluation projects conducted by the Georgia Immunization Program Conduct vaccine-preventable disease outbreak investigations in Georgia 7/2008-12/2009--ASPH/CDC Fellow, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NCIRD, CCID, ISD, Performed epidemiologic data analyses of vaccine coverage rates among students enrolled in daycare, kindergarten and middle school in the U.S. Virgin Islands in order to identify areas of low vaccine coverage and trends by school type and geography Provided analytical consultation and technical assistance to state, territorial and local immunization program grantees in order to implement and improve data collection and analysis procedures related to the CDC’s annual school assessment immunization survey Consulted with state, territorial and local immunization program grantees on data collection standards and procedures, sampling methodology and data analysis Formal Presentations Thomas, E.
