Carolyn Nowels, MSPH, has had extensive experience in qualitative research and evaluation over the past 15 years, including various data collection methods and analysis approaches. She has conducted interviews and focus groups with community members and leaders, health care providers, people diagnosed with diabetes, cancer, and chronic heart failure. She has provided consultation on methods and analysis to a variety of projects with qualitative methodologies, including moral distress in the ICU setting, opiate prescribing at end of life, quality of life of young scoliosis patients undergoing spinal fusion surgery and their caregivers, as well as feasibility/acceptability of childhood immunization in non-traditional settings.
