Biographical Sketch:
Laura Pabst received her MPH in epidemiology from Emory University in 2000. She has worked at both the state and federal levels for more than 10 years in the surveillance and epidemiology of childhood conditions including birth defects, other adverse pregnancy outcomes, and immunizations. Mrs. Pabst currently works as a Health Scientist in the Immunization Services Division at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She works closely with the Immunization Information Systems participating in the IIS Sentinel Site Project. Her research focuses on monitoring vaccination patterns in the U.S., the use of IIS data to support other immunization program goals, the evaluation of IIS data quality, and the development of standards and guidelines for the analysis of IIS data.
