Biographical Sketch:
2008 – present -- Research Analyst, Varicella Project - Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Lancaster, CA
Responsible for all aspects of project data management, data quality control and data analysis of the Varicella Vaccine efficacy study.
Responsible for overall subject recruitment, ensuring that informed consent/assent has been obtained for all cases and controls, HIPPA regulations are followed, administering study interviews, overseeing data entry and ensuring accuracy, as well as collecting and coordinating the collection of lesion specimens for laboratory testing.
Assisting the Principal Investigator with written reports and oral presentations summarizing project surveillance data, including monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports.
Responsible for educating health care providers about the importance of specimen collection to confirm the diagnosis of chickenpox.
