Biographical Sketch:
Currently a senior at the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences completing a Master of Public Health degree. With a concentration in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences, the practicum experience has involved work with the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness. With the H1N1 pandemic, unique opportunities were provided as projects emerged to evaluate current vaccine distribution and administration processes and systems across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The ability to gather data and develop mapping that identifies vaccine deserts (availability and administration) has been an essential element in understanding and guiding the H1N1 immunization responses.
