2000- Present – Associate Director, Asian Liver Center at Stanford University, Stanford, CA
2006- Present -- General Surgery Resident, Department of Surgery, Stanford Hospitals and Clinics, Stanford, CA
Launched Jade Ribbon Campaign to fight hepatitis B and liver cancer. Planned culturally targeted media campaign and authored informational materials about hepatitis B and liver cancer. Collaborating with county and state perinatal hepatitis B prevention coordinators to improve birth hospital policies and patient education practices.
Educated over 600 health care providers in the past 9 months about perinatal hepatitis B prevention. Venues included Grand Rounds, skills competency training, and physicians conferences. Invited as keynote speaker for several upcoming conferences regarding hepatitis B immunization and birth dose.
Authored seven articles in peer-reviewed journals and was acknowledged as contributor to upcoming Institute of Medicine report on viral hepatitis.
