Biographical Sketch:
Jessica Leung is currently an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on varicella and herpes zoster-related surveillance and research projects. She is a member of the Epidemiology Branch in the Division of Viral Diseases/National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dartmouth College and her Masters in Public Health from Yale University. She has published several articles on varicella-related deaths, outbreak reporting, and surveillance in the Journal of Infectious Diseases and the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. She has presented at several conferences regarding topics related to varicella and herpes zoster surveillance and research, including the 2005 and 2009 Infectious Diseases Society of America, the 2006 National Immunization Conference, and the 2008 International Herpesvirus Workshop.
