Biographical Sketch:
As research director for the Center for Health Communications at AED, Dr. Levine has extensive experience developing and managing research projects in public, private, and academic settings using a variety of methodologies, such as focus groups, in-depth interviews, surveys, communication audits, and content analyses. In recent work as a consultant in Central America, Dr. Levine directed research and evaluation for a wide range of health issues, including HIV, nutrition, and maternal and child health. Some of her accomplishments include conducting the first national survey in El Salvador of HIV risks for the mobile population, analyzing socioeconomic and lifestyle factors related to childhood obesity in El Salvador, and directing data collection and analysis in three countries to explore the market potential for a low-cost condom as part of a regional HIV prevention program. At Prospect Associates (now AIR), she was a task leader for several projects funded by government agencies and private businesses.
