Biographical Sketch:
2008 - present -- ORISE Fellow in Health Communication, CDC/ORISE, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, Atlanta, GA Served as Communication Co-Lead for the Children’s Health Team in the CDC Emergency Operations Center during the 2009 H1N1 influenza response. Responsible for creating educational materials using a variety of media platforms to increase awareness, knowledge, and adoption of influenza prevention, mitigation, and treatment recommendations with a special focus on children with high-risk medical conditions. Responsible for proactive and reactive dissemination of educational materials concerning children with high-risk medical conditions through a variety of media channels. Numerous presentations at scientific meetings.
