Biographical Sketch:
Laura has served as the Public Health Detailing Program Director since September, 2008. Since then she has worked on campaigns 11 campaigns covering Intimate Partner Violence, Obesity in Children, Breastfeeding, Influenza/Pneumococcal Vaccination, Medication Adherence and Hypertension, among others.
Prior to joining the NYC DOHMH in 2008, Laura worked for over ten years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry in sales and marketing. Her industry focus included training others to better communicate with physicians, nurses and medical staff.
Additionally, her healthcare background includes advocacy work in solid organ donation and transplant, women’s reproductive healthcare, and advocacy for women and children’s health issues. She has co-authored several abstracts.
